council meetings
Meetings are held in the Council Chamber in the Lobby Level of City Hall, 15 Market Square. Agendas are available at the Common Clerk`s Office 8th floor, City Hall, at 4 p.m. on the Friday before the meeting, and on the Agendas and Minutes section of our website. Letters addressed to the Common Council should be sent to the Common Clerk`s Office, City Hall, P. O. Box 1971, Saint John, N. B. E2L 4L1. Letters must be received no later than Thursday prior to a meeting to be considered. NOTE: Original documents only are accepted for application to or inclusion on the Council Agenda. E-mailed and faxed documents cannot be accepted. Anyone wishing to speak at a Council meeting (except for public hearings) is required to submit a written brief in order to be scheduled for a presentation to Council. The time allotment for a presentation is set by Council policy. The Common Clerk`s Office can provide, upon request, the most recent Council-adopted information regarding the guidelines relating to public presentations by members of the public, as well as the procedure for public hearings.
