Composting

Did you know that the cost to process compost is $35 per ton?  Compare that to the $108 per ton to process garbage.  Composting reduces landfill waste, thereby extending the life of the landfill.   Animals and birds will not bother your garbage if there is no food product in it and this results in the cleanliness of properties and streetscapes.

Visit Fundy Region Solid Waste Commission for more information on what goes in your compost.
